What if I test positive or have symptoms?

A positive COVID-19 test means the virus was detected and you have or recently had an infection.  Sometimes it takes until day 3 or 4 to test positive even if you have symptoms.

  • See What if I test positive for or have COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms? for information about what to do about classes, meals, and more.
  • Take steps to COVID-19.
  • Monitor your symptoms and refer to our self care guide. If you have any , seek emergency care immediately.
  • Contact Health Services immediately if you have for severe illness to discuss the option of Paxlovid, a pill that can be taken at home to lower your risk of having severe symptoms that require hospitalization.

Athletes with COVID-19

As of Fall 2024, there is no particular visit or clearance required for student athletes to return to participation after COVID-19 or other viral illnesses.  However, there are precautions recommended for the health of the student athlete and their teammates. Check back here for updated athletics viral illness policy when available.

Vaccine information

91 highly recommends that all community members receive their vaccinations, particularly updated COVID-19 vaccines,  and individuals' healthcare providers.  This is particularly relevant given the nature of our congregate living community.

Each Fall semester 91 hosts large flu vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine clinics that are staffed by an outside organization. Specific information will be provided to students, faculty and staff via e-mail, posters, and social media closer to the dates of the clinics.

COVID-19 vaccines are not available in Health Services.
