Forbes gives Skidmore an 'A'

Choosing a college may seem simple on the surface. But it gets complicated fast when finances, on-campus opportunities, housing, dining options, and the all-important academics come into the equation. This year in Forbes.com’s national assessment of these categories, Skidmore earned top scores again.

Best colleges of 2016ǰ’s measures the “fiscal soundness of some 900 four-year, private, not-for-profit colleges with at least 500 students.” Factoring elements including admissions yield and the percentage of first-year students who receive grants, Forbes gave Skidmore a 3.65 GPA, or a solid A grade. Skidmore was again complimented for the success of its students in  report, ranked at 62.

In another Forbes ranking, -- evaluating postgraduate success, student satisfaction, student debt, graduation rate, and academic success -- Skidmore was ranked number 85. Forbes also released , naming Skidmore amongst the top 150.
