Reunion alumni communities welcome reception 

‌Please join us at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31, at Falstaff’s for a welcome reception hosted by alumni of color, LGBTQIA+, and international alumni communities during Reunion 2024. The event will be deejayed by Jake Allen, host of Fly 92.3 morning show. RVSP by emailing Jennifer Hardy.  ‌ 

‌ČSummer Jazz Concert Series ‌ ‌

‌T announces its 2024 Concert Series. Renewed funding by the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts will help sponsor nine free concerts, including Grammy Award-winning Panamanian pianist and composer Danilo Pérez, rising alto saxophonist star Alexa Tarantino, and others. ‌Č‌New York State Summer Writers Institute events

‌T will offer evening readings by an extraordinary lineup of writers this June and July. The month-long schedule will include readings by Joyce Carol Oates, Paul Harding, Cristina Garcia, Richard Blanco, and Vinson Cunningham, among others. Contact Maria McColl for more information.

Skidmore discount at SPAC ‌

‌All employees are eligible to receive a 20% discount on ticket purchases to Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival (June 29-30), New York City Ballet (July 9-13), and Philadelphia Orchestra (July 31-Aug. 3) performances. Use the promotion code . This discount cannot be applied to Live Nation concerts.

Campus closures and renovations

Beginning on Monday, June 3, several areas of campus will be undergoing renovations: 

  • ‌T covered walkway between Ladd Hall and the Dining Hall and a portion of Case Lot will be closed through the end of August. The bus stop will be relocated to a temporary spot. 
  • ‌T main sidewalk to the Williamson Sports Center will be closed as work continues on the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center. Access will be relocated to the other side of the Dance Center. 
  • ‌T Annex will be undergoing renovations in preparation for the relocation of the Campus Safety Office. Move date updates to come shortly. ‌

Dining Services

Summer hours ‌

‌T Spa will begin its summer hours on Tuesday, May 28. During the summer months, the Spa will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A breakfast menu will be available from 8 to 11 a.m.; hot soup and a deli menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Grab and go items will be sold in Burgess Café. ‌Pop-up grill ‌

‌Beginning on Tuesday, May 28, Dining Services will offer a pop-up grill on Porter Plaza, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. The grill menu features hotdogs, burgers (both beef and plant-based), and grilled chicken sandwiches. A combo meal includes your choice of a grill item, two sides, and a beverage for $7.99. In the case of rain, the pop-up grill will be relocated to inside the Spa.

‌Fiscal year-end reminders ‌

‌Please review these detailed guidelines ahead of the end of the fiscal year on May 31. Employees are encouraged to submit expense reimbursements, invoices for payment, and related items before this date. As a reminder, all transactions are handled through Oracle Cloud.

‌Fall scheduling 

is now open for fall scheduling. Those planning any major college events or lectures should submit their event date using to ensure there are no conflicts. Email the Scheduling Office with any questions.  ‌ 

Broadview branch summer hours ‌

‌T Skidmore branch has begun its summer hours (9 a.m. to noon). It will resume its normal hours of operation on Monday, Aug. 26. Find additional branch locations or by contacting the Broadview Call Center at (800) 727-3328.

‌Skidmore Shop 

‌T Skidmore Shop is closed for its annual inventory and will reopen on Friday, May 24. The shop will be closed again for the holiday weekend, returning Tuesday, May 28. In the meantime, please .

Summer Bulletin publication schedule

There will be no Bulletin next week (May 29). Bulletin will resume publication on June 5. Submit by completing the online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday, June 3. Through Aug. 21, the Bulletin will be distributed to faculty and staff only. Submissions to the Faculty-Staff Achievements section are not accepted over the summer.
