In her capacity as chair of the Special Programs Study Group Linda Simon has offered to meet with CEPP to hear our concerns about Special Programs. We agreed to ask Linda if she would be willing to attend a CEPP meeting for this purpose. Beau reported that the Environmental Action Committee requested to meet with Beau (as CEPP chair) to discuss paper reduction. Beau suggested, and CEPP agreed, that they should meet with the appropriate IPPC subcommittee. The DOS restructuring review charge was edited. It now reads: CEPP charges a sub-committee (consisting of two members of CEPP, one member of CAS, one member of FEC, and one representative from the registrar) with reviewing the restructuring of the Office of the Dean of Studies and the relationship between the Office of the Dean of Studies and the new Office of Student Academic Services. The subcommittee will address three broad issues: 1) What does the restructuring consist of? 2) Is the restructuring working? 3) Are changes needed to make the restructuring more effective? The subcommittee will report its findings and recommendations to CEPP. Michael Ennis-McMillan (Dean of Studies) and Ann Henderson (Registrar) joined us during the second half of the meeting to discuss internships. There was general praise by CEPP for the internship guidelines on the DOS website but everyone agreed the guidelines could be improved and should be revised by the DOS and CEPP and endorsed by CEPP. CEPP’s suggestions regarding internships: 1) a student seeking to do an internship should have to get her adviser to sign-off on the proposed internship; 2) the DOS should hold an annual workshop on internships; 3) internship guidelines should be attached to the internship form; 4) stipulate that all internships are S/U unless the faculty member articulates why they think a grade is appropriate; 5) limit internship credit to 9 credits of which no more than 6 can be at the 300-level. ц8 z|ќјюсюјhѓ}PhлDOJQJ^JhлDOJQJ^JhлDhЪ'О ВГийЧШЅІхц9 : Щ Ъ ‘ ’ z{|њњњњњђщђњђњђщщњђњрррњо„8^„8gdлD„h^„hgdлD & FgdлDgdлD|ў 1hАа/ Ар=!А"А# $ %АЅH@ёџH Ъ'ОNormal CJOJPJQJ_HmH sH tH DA@ђџЁD Default Paragraph FontRiѓџГR Table Normalі4ж l4жaі (kєџС(No List|џџџџ џџ z™| ВГийЧШЅІхц9:ЩЪ‘’z{~˜0€€иpŒ€˜0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜ 0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜ 0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜ 0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜ 0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜0€€иpŒ˜ 0€€иpŒ§ПPЂ8џП€§ПPЂ8џП€§ПPЂ8џП€§ПPЂ8џП€§ПPЂ8џП€§ПPЂ8џП€|| | 18FNbjyцъ’˜~ц.cg‹~:WO.о†Iџџџџџџџџџ „8„0§Ц8^„8`„0§‡hˆH. „ „˜ўЦ ^„ `„˜ў‡hˆH. „p„˜ўЦp^„p`„˜ў‡hˆH. „@ „˜ўЦ@ ^„@ `„˜ў‡hˆH. „„˜ўЦ^„`„˜ў‡hˆH. „р„˜ўЦр^„р`„˜ў‡hˆH. „А„˜ўЦА^„А`„˜ў‡hˆH. „€„˜ўЦ€^„€`„˜ў‡hˆH. „P„˜ўЦP^„P`„˜ў‡hˆH.WO. GTimes New Roman5€Symbol3 Arial3TimesYM New YorkTimes New Roman"Aˆ№аhtŠДFtŠДFsŠДF:џD8!№ ДД24—|n3ƒQ№KX)№џ? Document.8
