Guests (for discussion on ACIS): Michael Arnush, Cori Filson, Sarah Goodwin Minutes: Levinson 21 April 2006 (approved), Hall 12 April 2006 (approved with MHТs revisions) FYE: Policies on Withdrawals, Failures, and Transfers. Michael Arnush has provided a brief report on what happened this past year. CEPP should consider the existing guidelines and how (or whether) to revise them. We will be discussing this next week. Assessment of the FYE: We need to determine whether this report comes after two years (i.e., next year). BB will report next week. Middle States: MP briefly reported on initial and unofficial comments on the FYE. Writing Task Force CEPP will consider the recommendations and will introduce these ideas to the department chairs at their retreat in May CEPP will craft its own version of the proposal next fall PA Taskforce CEPP will prepare a proposal for the early fall (September on the floor, October for voting) Calendar MH recommended approval of the calendar with discussion of study days, etc. next year. CEPP approved the minutes. Agenda 2006-07 Members of CEPP will contribute issues related next yearТs agenda and the long-term goals. These will include meetings with the Dean of Special Programs. Short-term Study Abroad Courses and Programs CEPP was provided with a set of nine questions that served as the beginning of their discussions and which are available on the OIPТs website. MA began the discussion by observing that we have a variety of different kinds of programs and, in particular, study abroad programs are offered both by OIP and Special Programs. Questions of resources play an important role in this discussion for both students and faculty. What access do students on financial aid have to these programs? How would we set up a set of guidelines helping faculty to determine to which office they would go to run a S-tSA program? What is the impact on departments and faculty teaching load? What are the resources? Do departments realize what the impact will be on their curriculum? What is the role of faculty stipends? What is the impact on student costs? CEPP discussed and confirmed the belief that courses offered by SP come under the purview of CEPP, thus, CEPP has purview over SA programs offered through SP. The ACIS representatives indicated that SP have agreed to this. When ACIS sunsets, CEPP needs to appoint a standing subcommittee. MH will consult with Kate Graney (Curriculum Committee) to confirm that both committees agree on the document. ./FмЇщ▄╥hD/┌OJQJ^Jhf ФhD/┌OJQJ^Jhf Фh░(·B*ph hf Фhf ФB*ph /Fyx№N a ╪ } Ж ∙ г ╨ _ √=мюч╪╬╬───╬──╬─╬─╬─╬──── & FдxgdD/┌ & FдxgdD/┌Д╨Д0¤дx^Д╨`Д0¤gdD/┌дxgdD/┌ддx&dP╞ gdD/┌м■ 1Рh░╨/ ░р=!░"░#Ра$Ра%░е@@ё @ NormalCJ_HaJmH sH tH Z@Z f Ф Heading 1$дЁд<@&5БCJ KH OJQJ\Б^JaJ DA@Є бD Default Paragraph FontRiє │R Table NormalЎ4╓ l4╓aЎ (kЇ ┴(No Listм        аzЩ   аzЩyм В/Fyx№Na╪ }Ж∙г╨_√ = о 0АА╪@├Ш0А╪@├Ш0А╪@├Ш 0А╪@├Ш 0А╪@├Ш 0y╪@├Ш 0y╪@├Ш 0y╪@├Ш 0А╪@├Ш 0N╪@├Ш 0N╪@├Ш 0А╪@├Ш 0╪@├Ш 0А╪@├Ш 0}╪@├Ш 0А╪@├Ш 0∙╪@├Ш 0АРа╦Ш 0гРа╦Ш 0гРа╦Ш 0гРа╦Ш 0гРа╦м м м Ё8Ё@ё   АААўЁТЁЁ0Ё( Ё ЁЁB ЁS Ё┐╦  ?
